Stop using 20+ hashtags – this confuses Instagram. That’s the equivalent of sitting on a zoom call listening to 20 people try and talk. Your poor brain wouldn’t know what to focus on!
You may have heard on the grapevine that adding hashtags in the comments section boosts engagement – it doesn’t. If this was the case, you could easily use a bot to do the dirty work for you – and that’s spam.
Instagram mentor Robert Benjamin recommends using 5-6 key hashtags that best describe the content. And always put them at the end of your caption/description.
