You’re not going to like what we’re about to say… but quality is everything. Instagram ranks low-grade quality videos as spam and won’t push them out to followers. If it looks like your reel was filmed on a Motorola flip phone, leave it for 2002.
Don’t:
❌Post pixelated videos
❌Post in the incorrect dimensions
❌Post with TikTok logs (come one, do better)
❌Post via 3rd party scheduling software (kills reach)
Do
✅Record and post in 1080p to match Instagram’s compressor
✅Remove logos using Snaptick (it’s free)
✅Use 3 hashtags max per reel
✅Post in 9×16 format*
*Also remember that Instagram loves to keep you on your toes. So, please try not to crop your head out or the text when it converts to 4:5 format on your grid.
Top tip: It’s best to post reels on their own tab rather than as a feed post for maximum engagement.
