Editing

These 5 (mostly free) tools are your saving grace when it comes to editing. Gone are the days of spending gruelling hours cutting and splicing.

Canva

CANVA is an unreal tool. (We’re not biased or anything…) You can use it for editing photos, designing funky carousels, editing videos and more. There are thousands of templates, too, like adding a “tweet” template on a reel.

The free version has the majority of what you need to create killer content. But, if you upgrade to just $99 for the entire year, it’s practically photoshop in your pocket.

Capcut

A newbie in the editing market making waves. Capcut does all the hard work for you. They have templates (which are also trending) that you can use by simply uploading a video. In 5 seconds, you’ve got a shareable, trendy and slick cut.

This version is free and available on desktop and mobile. You can also get auto-generated text or captions which adds a nice visual for audiences to interact.

Top tip: 69% of people watch videos without sound. Adding captions gives you that extra chance to hook and increase watch-time.

InShot

InShot is easy for beginners to use but looks like you’re advanced. You can try the tool for free and upgrade to the pro version – giving you access to a wider range of transitions and effects. Again, this makes your video more interesting, increasing watch-time and replayability.

You might find that easy transitions like covering the camera and then uncovering to reveal a “before and after” work well. InShot makes this automatic, saving you the headache of re-shooting.

Adobe (Photoshop)

Adobe is one of the original tools and is arguably more for intermediate/advanced users. Adobe Lightroom will add a very professional tone to your photos. You can try a free 7-day trial to get a feel for it.

Adobe Premier Pro is best for creating longer video cuts which maintain stellar quality. It’s worth investing in this tool if you want eye-catching content that pops.

Snaptik

As Instagram values high quality above all else, you need to remove any third-party logos. (Yes, that includes TikTok).

But we’re all about repurposing content and working smarter here at Gymfluencers. Use Snaptik.app to get rid of any logos so that you can upload to Instagram without being penalised.
